Senior Yaneli Guajardo was named Forester Athlete of the Week for her performance at the Warrior Invitational hosted by Wisconsin Lutheran on Saturday, April 17.
Guajardo finished placing fourth in the 1500 with a time of 5:00.96 and fifth in the 800 in 2:24.45. She was Lake Forest's top finisher of the meet.
Both times moved her up in rankings. Her times place her fourth in the Conference for the 1500 and fifth in the 800. Her time in the 800 also puts her 44th in the Division III Midwest Region.
Guajardo has been named Forester Athlete of the Week a total of four times for her successes as both a track and cross country runner.
Forester Athlete of the Week are selected by the Athletic Department on Thursdays.
