Junior Philip Wilson placed sixth in the 5000 as Lake Forest finished up the season at day two of the Midwest Conference Championship on Saturday.

Wilson completed 12-and-a-half laps around the track at St. Norbert College's Schneider Stadium in 15:22.94, 18 seconds behind fifth place and also 18 ahead of seventh place in the race. Freshman Christian Reyes improved on his personal record in the event by more than 20 seconds with a 10th-place time of 15:54.67 and senior Christian Aldana was 12th in 16:16.08.

Other individual performances for the Foresters on Saturday included sophomore Molly Gniady's 10th-place finish in the women's 3000 steeplechase (12:57.42) and an 11th-place finish by junior Dillon Rice in the men's race (10:18.00). Sophomores Audrey Paglia and Ellen Szostak posted career-best times of 2:30.74 and 2:31.57, respectively, in the women's 800 while freshman Mathieu Norcross did the same in the men's race with a time of 2:05.96.

While the Foresters' 4x400 relay teams each placed ninth, the women came within two seconds of their program record while the men missed a season-best mark by just four-tenths of a second.

The Monmouth College men and St. Norbert College women finished first in the team standings.
