Senior Christian Aldana, sophomore Ellen Szostak, and freshman Christian Reyes were the Foresters' top performers at the Carroll University Alumni Open and a pair of program records were broken at the UW-Platteville Invitational on Saturday.

Aldana turned in the Foresters' highest placing of the day with a runner-up finish in the 5000m run and his time of 15:21.71 broke the school record set by junior Philip Wilson two weeks ago. Aldana's record was short-lived, however, as Wilson edged him out with a 15:20.62 at Platteville Saturday night.

Reyes was third in the 3000m run in 9:18.09 and Szostak finished fifth in the 1500m run with a time of 5:14.26. Both runners now rank second in team annals in those events, as do sophomore Audrey Paglia and senior David Carrillo in the 400m run after finishing in 66.84 and 54.72 seconds, respectively. Paglia was already second on the program's list before Saturday's career-best time and Carrillo's mark was good for sixth place in the race.

The other school record at Platteville came from sophomore Yaneli Guajardo in the 5000m run, which she finished in 19:08.70.

The Foresters' next meet will be the University of Dubuque's Good Friday Open on April 19.
