Junior Jorge Villanueva and freshman Yaneli Guajardo posted top-six finishes in a strong field at Wheaton College's Don Church Twilight Meet on Saturday.
Villanueva finished fifth out of 20 collegiate runners in the 5000 meter run with a time of 15:36.32. He now ranks eighth in the Midwest Conference in that event this season.
Guajardo had the top finish for the Forester women, placing sixth in the 800 meter run. She completed two laps around the track in just 2:20.84 and ranks third in the league this year.
Both Forester teams also earned points in the 4x400 meter relay.
The University of Chicago men and women's finished first and Wheaton second in the team standings.
Lake Forest will travel to Hillsdale College in Michigan for the Gina Relays on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
