Day two of the 2018 Midwest Conference Indoor Championship Meet included a runner-up finish for freshman Yaneli Guajardo in the women's 800m run.

A day after placing fourth in the mile, Guajardo completed the 800 in a season-best 2:19.33 and edged out the third-place finisher by less than half a second. She accounted for 13 of the Forester women's team's 20 points at the meet.

Saturday's top performance for the Lake Forest men also came in the 800m run, where freshman Darrian Lockett finished fifth with a time of 2:00.54.

The sprint medley relay was where the Foresters scored the rest of their points on Saturday. Junior Christian Aldana, sophomores Aidan Pratt and Philip Wilson, and freshman Nikolas Fantocone combined to travel 4000 meters in 10:57.99 to place fifth in the league. In the women's race sophomores Briana Campbell, Shelley Parat, Estafania Ramirez, and Ariane Balaram finished in sixth place with a time of 14:01.62.

The Monmouth men and St. Norbert women were the team champions at the meet.

The Foresters' final indoor meet of the year will be next Friday's Gill Athletics Final Qualifier at Carthage College. The first event will begin at 3:00 p.m.
