Alex Knight of men's basketball and swimming and diving's Violet Anderson were named Forester Athletes of the Week on Tuesday for their respective performances over the weekend.
Knight led the the Foresters with 20 points and was 9-for-13 from the floor in Lake Forest's 95-55 win over Beloit College on Saturday. The sophomore guard tied for game-high honors with four assists and also added five rebounds to his stats line.
Senior Anderson went three for three in the women's swimming and diving's team win on Saturday against St. Norbert. She contributed to a close 200-Medley Relay victory to start the competition. She also won the 100-Butterfly and anchored the winning 200-Free Relay to put an exclamation point on a dominant performance by Forester women.
Forester Athletes of the Week are selected by a vote of athletic department staff on Tuesdays. This is the third time this season Knight has earned the distinction, and the first time for Anderson.
