Amy Finn Named Associate Head Coach

Amy Finn, a member of the Forester swimming and diving coaching staff for eight of the last nine years, has been promoted to associate head coach.

Finn is a 2012 graduate of the College and was a captain on Lake Forest's 2011-12 Midwest Conference women's swimming and diving championship team. She served as an assistant coach for the next four seasons and, after a year away from the program, returned in 2017. In addition to on-deck coaching, she shares recruiting coordinator duties, oversees the program's alumni relations and social media, and works specifically with the team's distance swimmers.

Finn helped lead the Forester men to back-to-back conference titles in 2014 and 2015 and the women are currently the league's defending champions after finishing first at the 2020 MWC Championships. Individual swimmers and divers on the team have combined to win 98 events at the MWC Championships and the Forester men and women are a combined 53-42 in dual meets during her time on staff. School records have been broken 62 times and 20 of the combined 30 entries on the program's top five lists in the three distance events have been posted during Finn's tenure.

"Coach Finn is very much deserving of this promotion," commented Head Coach Vadim Tashlitsky. "For nearly a decade she has worked tirelessly on behalf of the College's student athletes and played an integral role in the success of Forester Swimming and Diving. I have no doubt that she'll make an even greater impact in her new role."

"I'm so grateful for this promotion and am beyond excited to continue my coaching career at my alma mater. I'm looking forward to working with Coach Tashlitsky and the student-athletes in the coming years to make this program even more successful than it already is. Go Foresters!"
