Men Sweep, Women Split Tri-Meet Against Whitewater and Lawrence

The Forester men won both sides of the team's tri-meet against University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and Lawrence University on Saturday. The women split the meet, winning against Lawrence and coming up short to Whitewater.

Junior Susan Guo kicked off the meet for the women with a win in the 800 Free, and Junior Max Rowland made it a Forester sweep of the event when he touched first on the men's side. Sophomore Alec Pittman and junior Marcus Carter-Buckman continued the men's winning streak with victories in the 200 Free and 50 Free, respectively.

Guo was able to put her hand on the wall first for the 100 Butterfly. The Foresters swept this event as well when junior Thomas Anderson won the same event a couple heats later. Sophomore Graeme Witte placed first in the 100 Free, and Carter-Buckman earned another first-place finish with his win in the 100 Backstroke. Senior Rachel Trevillian completed the 400 Free in the fastest time.

The Forester divers performed well in their portion of the meet. Senior Lizzie Johns won on both boards for the women. Junior Naqi Rizvi was the sole male competitor on both the 1- and 3-meter boards.

The Forester women won against Lawrence University 139-98 and lost to the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater 135.5-100.5; the men won against Lawrence 158-61 and won against Whitewater 142-77.
