The Forester swim and dive team capped off its winter break training with a meet against Wheaton College. Both the men's and women's squads lost to the Thunder.

Due to weather conditions, the Foresters had to cancel their planned trip to Holland, Michigan for their scheduled quad meet against Hope College and Kalamazoo College, and instead traveled to Wheaton College for a dual meet against the Thunder.

Sophomore Aaron Helms clocked the first win of the meet for the Foresters, touching first in the 1000 Free with a time of 10:08.86. His teammate, sophomore Alec Pittman, made it a 1, 2 finish for the Foresters; he finished with a time of 10:20.99, more than 28 seconds ahead of third place. Helms went on to place second overall in the 200 Fly in a time of 2:02.99. The Foresters went 1, 2 in the 500 Free as well when junior Max Rowland won with a time of 4:59.36, and Pittman finished right behind him with a time of 4:59.05.

On the women's side of the meet, sophomore Kerry Mullen won the 50 Free with a time of 25.50 for the women's first win of the meet. Junior Susan Guo was the next to post a winning time; she won the 500 Free event for the Foresters in a time of 5:38.17. The Forester women capped off the meet with a win in the 400 Freestyle Relay. Guo and Mullen combined with freshman Violet Anderson and sophomore Kylie Mullen to touch first in a time of 3:45.55, only .61 seconds ahead of Wheaton's relay.

The Lake Forest men lost to Wheaaton 620 to 445; the women lost 599 to 489.

The Foresters will compete at home on Saturday, January 18 at 12 PM in a tri-meet against Lawrence University and University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
