Lake Forest College diver Heath Ogawa was named Midwest Conference Performer of the Week on Tuesday for his performance in a pair of meets last weekend.

Ogawa, a junior, won all three of his events over the weekend, beginning with the 3-meter and 1-meter competition during the Forester men's team's victory at the six-team Gene Davis Invitational at Lawrence University. He finished with 467.40 points off the higher board and 456.98 off the lower.

Lake Forest competed on the final day of the University of Chicago's Phoenix Fall Classic on Sunday and Ogawa tallied 509.80 points in the 1-meter event, 56.75 ahead of the runner-up, who placed ninth in the event at the NCAA Division III Championships last March.

Ogawa has won all seven of his events so far this season.

MWC Performers of the Week are selected by the league's director of media and information. Ogawa also earned the award twice during each of his first two years on the team.
