Senior David Bunting turned in one of Lake Forest's 12 individual event victories as the Forester men and women defeated visiting Carroll University 126-81 and 126-112, respectively.

The Foresters also swept the four relays, beginning with the women's 200m-medley, where senior Brigit Dunne led off and was followed by freshmen Corynn Christjansen, Susan Guo, and Sarah Truxton. The home team's time of 2:08.59 was nearly five seconds ahead of the Pioneers. In the men's race junior Frederick Weichmann, freshmen Max Rowand and Nathan Ulm, and junior Blake Rhodes posted a time of 1:55.02 to edge out Carroll by 1.1 seconds.

Lake Forest senior Lily McCarthy won twice on the day, taking the 800m-freestyle in 9:52.90 and the 400m-freestyle in 4:49.09.

The Foresters swept the 200m-freestyle with Guo prevailing in the women's race in 2:14.70 and Rowand the men's in 2:04.75.

Bunting's performance in the 200m-IM was the home team's next victory and his time of 2:19.13 was more than four seconds ahead of the runner-up.

It was Alumni Day and several members of past Forester teams were honored during the first diving break.

Junior diver Heath Ogawa posted quality scores off both boards, finishing with 299.10 points in the 1-meter competition and 320.55 in the 3-meter event.

Ogawa's first win started a run of four consecutive Forester victories. Sophomore Rachel Trevillion was next, touching the wall first in the 100m-butterfly with a time of 1:11.37. Freshman Evan Weller made it another Lake Forest sweep by taking the men's race in 1:02.16. Christjansen finished off the string of wins and finished with a time of 1:03.99 in the 100m-freestyle.

After McCarthy's victory in the women's 400m-freestyle, senior Landon Longfield took the men's race in 4:37.90.

The Foresters' final individual event win was turned in by freshman Ethan Hare, whose 1:12.15 in the 100m-breaststroke was nearly nine seconds clear of the top finisher in the event from Carroll.

Lake Forest's triumph in the 200m-freestyle relay was the third win of the day for Christjansen, who led off, and Guo, the anchor. Truxton took care of the second leg and sophomore Kelsey Mitchell the third and the team finished in 1:55.08. The men's team closed out the meet with a victorious time of 1:43.88 by freshman Thomas Anderson, Bunting, Longfield, and Weller.

Both Forester teams are now 1-1 on the season while Carroll's men fell to 0-3 and the women to 1-2.

Lake Forest will compete in the Monmouth Invite next Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
