Orion Huey Named Honorable Mention Scholar All-America

The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) announced its 2016 Scholar All-Americans on Tuesday and Orion Huey of Lake Forest College was an Honorable Mention selection.

To be selected to the CSCAA Scholar All-America Team, swimmers and divers must have achieved a grade point average of 3.50 or higher and have participated in their respective NCAA/NAIA/NJCAA Swimming and Diving Championships. Honorable Mention selections have similarly achieved a GPA of 3.50 and achieved a "B" time standard or competed at their respective qualifying meets.

Huey won the 200-backstroke at the 2016 Midwest Conference Championships and his program record time of 1:51.29 was a "B" time standard. He was also the league champion in the 100-butterfly and helped the Foresters claim three relay titles at the conference meet.

Founded in 1922, the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) – the oldest organization of college coaches in America – is a professional organization of college swimming and diving coaches dedicated to serving and providing leadership for the advancement of the sport of swimming and diving at the collegiate level.
