Lake Forest College diver was named Midwest Conference Performer of the Week on Tuesday for her performance in a dual meet with visiting Augustana College on Sunday.
Pekar, a senior, won the 1-meter diving event with 276.95 points and finished first in the 3-meter competition with a score of 297.50. Those marks qualified her for the NCAA Division III Regional Meet February 27-28, giving her an opportunity to advance to the NCAA Championships for the third year in a row.
Lake Forest defeated Augustana 150-81 and Pekar was one of four Foresters to win multiple individual events on the day.
MWC Performers of the Week are selected by the league's director of media and information. Pekar also earned the award once as a sophomore.
