Lake Forest College softball player Elena Chrisman was named Midwest Conference Position Performer of the Week on Monday for her performance in four Forester victories last week.
Chrisman's two-run triple gave her team the lead in the bottom of the sixth inning in the first game of the week, a 5-3 triumph over visiting North Central College on Wednesday. In game two, the senior right fielder was 3-for-4 at the plate, belted her first home run of the season, and drove in four runs as the Foresters prevailed 7-3.
Lake Forest also hosted and swept Beloit College on Saturday. Chrisman was 4-for-6 with a grand slam, triple, four runs scored, and five driven in during her Senior Day doubleheader. Her first inning triple in game two was the 100th base hit of her career.
Chrisman is batting .371 with two home runs, two triples, eight doubles, 17 runs scored and 27 batted in this season.
