Kat Beall Earns MWC Elite 20 Award for Third Straight Year

The recipient of the 2018 Midwest Conference Elite 20 Award for softball was announced at the conclusion of the MWC Tournament and, for the third year in a row, the honor went to Lake Forest's Kat Beall.

Beall, a senior infielder, has maintained a 4.0 grade point average throughout her collegiate career. The finance and mathematics double-major is also a three-time Academic All-MWC honoree.

In addition to her success in the classroom, Beall has been an integral part of the Foresters' success on the field, batting .302 in 155 career games with a dozen home runs, 30 doubles, and 88 runs batted in. Lake Forest has claimed three conference titles in that time and the team's 115 victories are the most of any four-year span in program history.

The MWC Elite 20 Award is presented to the player with the highest cumulative grade point average on one of the four teams participating in the MWC Tournament.
