Foresters Earn Academic Honors from NFCA

The Lake Forest College softball team was recently listed among the 2017 Easton/National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Division III All-Academic Teams and seven Foresters also received NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete honors.

A minimum team grade point average of 3.0 is required for a school to earn All-Academic Team status and the Foresters came in at 3.258. Lake Forest is one of 125 NCAA Division III programs on the list.

National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-Academic Team Release

The NFCA also recognized more than 1,800 Division III players who posted grade point averages of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale. All-America Scholar-Athlete status was achieved by seven Foresters, including senior Jenny McTague. Juniors Kat Beall, Megan Dahlinger, and Jillian Rashid also made the list, as did sophomore Abby King and freshmen McKenzie Jordan and Sydney Wyatt.

National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-America Scolar-Athlete Release

Lake Forest was 22-16 overall with a 12-5 record in Midwest Conference play during the 2017 season.
