Riley Frisbie Named MWC Position Player of the Week Again

Lake Forest College softball player Riley Frisbie was named Midwest Conference Position Player of the Week on Monday for her performance in the Foresters' doubleheader sweep at Lawrence University on Saturday.

Frisbie, a freshman first baseman, belted a two-run home run over the right field fence in the first inning of the opener. It was her team-high sixth round-tripper of the season. She also had a single, a double, and another run scored in the Foresters' 6-1 triumph.

Lake Forest took game two 7-1 and Frisbie once again reached base safely three times. In the first inning she tied a program record by being hit by a pitch for the seventh time on the season. She then singled in a run in the second inning and doubled and scored in the fourth.

Frisbie's 5-for-7 day raised her team-high batting average on the year to .386.

MWC Performers of the Week are selected by the league's director of media and information. Frisbie also earned the award on March 20.
