Lake Forest College softball player Riley Frisbie was named Midwest Conference Position Player of the Week on Monday for her performance in the team's last 10 contests at The Spring Games in Florida last week.

Riley, a freshman who was in the lineup as a first baseman or designated player throughout the week, batted .353 in the team's last 10 games. Three of her team-high 12 base hits were home runs and she scored six runs and drove in seven. In addition to her .353 batting average, Frisbie also posted a .621 slugging percentage and .421 on-base percentage during that span.

Riley recorded three multi-hit games on the week, including a three-hit performance that included her first career home run against North Park University on Thursday. She also cleared the outfield fence against both Carthage College and eighth-ranked Linfield College on Saturday to close out the trip.

In additions to her exploits on offense, Riley recorded 58 putouts at first base without committing an error.

MWC Performers of the Week are selected by the league's director of media and information.
