Freshman designated player Riley Frisbie had three hits on the day but the Forester softball team was defeated 8-0 by Millikin University and 1-0 in eight innings by Arcadia University on Tuesday.

Frisbie was 2-for-3 in the team's first game of the day and freshman third baseman Haylee Sherlund had Lake Forest's only other hit in the contest. The Foresters had at least one baserunner in each of the first five innings and their best scoring opportunity came in the fourth when they loaded the bases with one out. Millkin escaped the jam, however, and kept the shutout intact.

The Big Blue plated a pair of runs in the second and fourth innings and added a single tally in the fifth before breaking the game open with three in the top of the seventh.

The victory improved Millkin's record on the season to 5-4.

Arcadia did not record a hit off Forester senior pitcher Jenny McTague until bottom of the sixth inning. After a bunt single and a base hit to center, McTague struck out the next two hitters to end the threat. Two more singles in the eighth plated the runner that started the inning on second base for the game's only run.

McTague struck out seven without issuing a walk in the game. She lowered her earned run average to 0.76 in three started on the year.

Five different Foresters, including Frisbie, had a base hit in the contest.

Lake Forest is now 2-4 on the young season whlie Arcadia improved to 4-2.

After taking Wednesday off, the Forester will continue play at The Spring Games in Leesburg, Florida, with two more games on Thursday. The team is scheduled to take on Kalamazoo College at 8:00 (EST) in the morning and North Park University at 10:30 a.m. (EST)
