Foresters Fall in Heartbreaking Fashion in NCAA Regional Championship RoundMay 11, 2014The Lake Forest College softball team had its season come to an end Sunday on a 3-2 loss at Illinois Wesleyan University, the nation's 10th-ranked team. Forester senior shortstop Sam Ritsema and pitcher Jenny McTague were named to the NCAA Regional All-Tournament Team.

Back-to-Back Dramatic Victories Extend Foresters' SeasonMay 10, 2014The Lake Forest College softball team held on for a 7-6 victory over Fontbonne University and came back to win 3-2 against Anderson University in the NCAA Regional Tournament on Saturday. Forester freshman pitcher Jenny McTague earned a save against Fontbonne and the victory after hitting a walk-off single versus Anderson.

Lake Forest Leads the Way in MWC End-of-Season AwardsMay 07, 2014The Midwest Conference released its all-conference softball teams on Wednesday and four Lake Forest College players made the list, including MWC South Division Pitcher of the Year Jenny McTague and Co-Positional Player of the Year Kayla Borgra. Forester teammates Sally Snarski and Sam Ritsema and Head Coach Joe Kinsella were also among the honorees.

Foresters Defeat St. Norbert, Capture MWC ChampionshipMay 03, 2014The Lake Forest College softball team claim the seventh Midwest Conference championship in program history by defeating visiting St. Norbert College 3-0 on Saturday. The Foresters are now 26-8 this season and will advance to the NCAA Division III Tournament, which will begin next weekend.

Freshman rightfielder Tara Airola hit two of Lake Forest's four home runs on the day as the team matched the program record for round-trippers in a season.

Foresters Split with Wheaton, Reach 20 WinsApril 21, 2014After a 4-0 loss in the opener ended the Lake Forest College softball team's school record 13-game winning streak, the Foresters defeated Wheaton College 8-1 in game to for their 20th win of the season. Freshman pitcher Jenny McTague surrendered just a pair of base hits in the second game and is now 9-1 on the season.

Jessi Werner No-Hitter One of Two More Lake Forest Wins at MWC ClassicApril 12, 2014Forester sophomore pitcher Jessi Werner did not allow a hit in Saturday's 8-0, 5-inning victory over Beloit College. Foresters Rout Knox Twice in First Home Doubleheader of the YearApril 05, 2014The Lake Forest College softball team remained undefeated in Midwest Conference play by defeating visiting Knox College 13-0 in five innings and 9-1 in six on Saturday. Senior shortstop Sam Ritsema had five base hits, including three doubles, in the Foresters' first two home games of the year.
