    The Lake Forest College softball team held on for a 7-6 victory over Fontbonne University and came back to win 3-2 against Anderson University in the NCAA Regional Tournament on Saturday. Forester freshman pitcher Jenny McTague earned a save against Fontbonne and the victory after hitting a walk-off single versus Anderson.

Forester teammates Sally Snarski and Sam Ritsema and Head Coach Joe Kinsella were also among the honorees.

    The Lake Forest College softball team claim the seventh Midwest Conference championship in program history by defeating visiting St. Norbert College 3-0 on Saturday. The Foresters are now 26-8 this season and will advance to the NCAA Division III Tournament, which will begin next weekend.

Freshman rightfielder Tara Airola hit two of Lake Forest's four home runs on the day as the team matched the program record for round-trippers in a season.

    After a 4-0 loss in the opener ended the Lake Forest College softball team's school record 13-game winning streak, the Foresters defeated Wheaton College 8-1 in game to for their 20th win of the season. Freshman pitcher Jenny McTague surrendered just a pair of base hits in the second game and is now 9-1 on the season.
