  • Title:
    Assistant Coach

The 2019-20 season is the ninth with the Forester men's tennis team for assistant coach Jack McArdle. He also began working with the College's women's team in the fall of 2012.

Members of the Lake Forest men's team have captured 11 individual Midwest Conference titles in McArdle's eight seasons with the program and four different players have been the league champion at #1 singles during his tenure. After recording a 12-10 overall record and a 6-2 mark in the conference in 2019, the Foresters have gone 100-82 overall and 40-14 in league play during McArdle's time on staff. The team has also reached the final of the MWC Tournament in four of the last five seasons.

McArdle has helped lead the Lake Forest women to a 115-53 overall record and a 49-8 mark in MWC play over the last seven seasons. They have also won a total of 18 conference titles, including at least one at every position in the lineup, and added a dozen runner-up finishes at the MWC Individual Tournaments. Several program records have been set during that time, the team captured conference titles in the falls of 2015 and 2019, and the Foresters made the program's first NCAA Tournament appearance last spring.

An accomplished player himself, McArdle is ranked nationally in Men's 50 Singles and Doubles. He has been a member of the College Park 4.5 and Open Men's Tennis Teams. McArdle played collegiately at NCAA Division I Miami University (Ohio) and finished seventh at the state doubles tournament while playing for Deerfield High School.
