The Lake Forest College men's tennis team is in Peoria, Illinois, this weekend for the Midwest Conference Individual Tournaments. All six Forester singles players won semifinal matches at their respective positions in the lineup and all three doubles teams were also victorious on Saturday.

Senior Oleksyi Vyshyvanuk and sophomore Daniel Tulchinskiy prevailed twice each at the top two spots in the singles lineup and did not drop a game in their quarterfinal victory at #1 doubles. They will need to come out on top again in the semifinals and then likely defeat the seventh-ranked team in the Central Region to repeat as doubles champs. Ranked 23rd in the region in singles, Vyshyvanyuk is also pursuing back-to-back titles at #1 singles and will face the region's 18th-ranked player in Sunday's final.

Freshman George Ciuca posted a pair of victories to advance to the championship at #3 singles and teamed up with junior Eduardo Manuitt on an 8-0 triumph at #2 doubles.

Freshman Ian Villardi Venturini Barbosa won both of his matches at #4 singles while sophomore Kyle Lassen did the same at #5. They also make up the Foresters' #3 doubles team but had a bye in Saturday's quarterfinal round.

Lake Forest senior Jacob Tilton also had an opening round bye before rolling 6-0, 6-2 in the semifinals at #6 singles.

All six of the team's singles players have already clinched All-MWC status with their performance on Saturday and can earn First Team honors with a victory in the finals on Sunday. Sunday's competition will also include the semifinals and final at each of the three spots in the doubles lineup.
