Close Match at MSOE Falls the Wrong Way for Lake Forest

The Forester men's tennis team played its first dual match of 2022-23 at Milwaukee School of Engineering on Sunday and were edged out 5-4.

Sophomore Kyle Lassen posted victories in both doubles and singles play, He and classmate Alec Nissen prevailed 8-6 at #3 doubles but Lake Forest trailed 2-1 going into singles play.

Lassen took both sets 6-1 at #3 singles to complete his personal sweep and two of his teammates earned their victories in third set super tiebreakers. Junior Eduardo Manuitt came from behind to win 4-6, 6-2 (11-9) at #4, as did sophomore Anele Mayiga in a 4-6, 7-6 (9-7), (10-7) final at #6.

Lake Forest's only other competition this fall will be next weekend's Intercollegiate Tennis Association Regional Tournament in St. Louis, Missouri.
