Freshman Daniel Tulchinskiy was named Forester Athlete of the Week on Tuesday for his performances in the team's matches against Lawrence University and Ripon College on Saturday.
Tulchinskiy went 4-0 as Lake Forest swept Lawrence and Ripon. He and teammate Oleksyi Vyshyvanyuk defeated the Vikings' top doubles team 8-2 and the Red Hawks' 8-1.
Tulchinskiy was also dominant at #2 singles, posting a 6-2, 6-0 victory in his first match against Lawrence. Then, a few hours later against Ripon, the team moved indoors, and Daniel closed with his fourth match win on the long day 6-1, 6-1.
Forester Athletes of the Week are voted for by the athletics department on Tuesdays.
