Lake Forest Drops Match to Wheaton

The Forester men's tennis team was defeated 7-2 by visiting Wheaton College Saturday evening at the Racquet Club of Lake Bluff.

Lake Forest's points came from the top and bottom of the singles lineup. Junior Oleksyi Vyshyvanyuk posted a convincing 6-2, 6-1 victory over the Thunder's best player while senior Oliver Gallego came out on top 6-2, 6-4 at #6.

The loss drops the Foresters to 6-7 on the season while Wheaton improved to 7-4.

Lake Forest will begin Midwest Conference competition in Iowa next Saturday, when the team will play at Grinnell College at 9:00 in the morning and Cornell College at 3:00 p.m.
