Foresters Win at MSOE, Climb Back to .500

The Lake Forest College men's tennis team came out on top of a 5-4 decision at Milwaukee School of Engineering on Sunday. The match was played at LifeSport Tennis Club in Racine, Wisconsin.

The Foresters took two of the three doubles points, beginning with an 8-2 victory for junior Oleksyi Vyshyvanyuk and freshman Daniel Tulchinskiy at #1. Senior Zach Cho and freshman Kyle Lassen also turned in an 8-3 triumph at #3.

Vyshyvanyuk did not drop a game at the top spot in the singles lineup and sophomore Eduardo Manuitt prevailed 6-3 in both sets at #5. The clinching point came from Lassen, who defeated the Raiders' #6 player 6-2, 7-6 (7-2). MSOE won the final three matches to make the final score 5-4.

Lake Forest is now 6-6 on the season while MSOE fell to 1-9.

The Foresters will host Wheaton College next Saturday at 4:30 p.m. The match will be played indoors at the Racquet Club of Lake Bluff.
