Junior Oleksyi Vyshyvanyuk and freshman Daniel Tulchinskiy combined for four victories at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Regional Tournament over the weekend.

Lake Forest's tandem prevailed in the round of 32 in doubles, taking out a duo from Trine University 8-2 early Friday morning. They were then defeated 8-5 in the second round by a team from Denison University that eventually reached the event's semifinal round.

Both Foresters were among the 32 players to post victories in the opening round of singles on Friday. Vyshyvanyuk rolled 6-1 in each set while Tulchinskiy came out on top 6-3, 6-1.

Tulchinskiy's run ended in round two when he came up against the #5 seed in the field while Vyshyvanyk did not drop a game to reach the round of 16.

The third round was played on Saturday and Vyshyvanyuk was eliminated by the top seed in the tournament. He was the first Forester to reach the ITA Regional Tournament's round of 16.

The competition was the last of the fall semester for the Lake Forest men, who will start the 2022 portion of their schedule in February.
