The Forester men's tennis team traveled north of the state line to take on Milwaukee School of Engineering on Sunday and returned with an 8-1 triumph.

The visitors swept the doubles competition, including a convincing 8-1 victory atop the lineup by junior Oleksyi Vyshyvanyuk and freshman Daniel Tulchinskiy. The other two matches were much closer with senior Zach Cho and sophomore Eduardo Manuitt coming out on top 8-6 at #3 and freshman Kyle Lassen and junior Jacob Tilton edging out their opponents 8-7 (7-3) at #2.

Vyshyvanyuk defeated the Raiders' top singles player 6-3, 6-0 and Cho also dropped a total of three games in a 6-1, 6-2 victory at #3 that clinched the match for Lake Forest. Manuitt prevailed 6-3, 6-1 at #6 and Tilton came from behind to win 3-6, 6-1, (10-2) at #5. After MSOE earned the point at #4, Tulchinskiy closed out the contest with a 6-3, 6-2 decision at #2.

It was the only dual match of the fall semester for the Foresters. Select players on the team will travel to Kalamazoo, Michigan, the first weekend of October for the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Regional Tournament.
