Four Foresters Named All-MWC North

The Midwest Conference announced the 2021 All-MWC Men's Tennis Teams on Wednesday and Lake Forest College had four players listed in the North Division.

Highlighting the list for the Foresters is Oleksyi Vyshyvanyuk, who posted a perfect 8-0 record at the top of the singles lineup. He did not drop a set in any of his five MWC North Division matches, winning 61 of 80 games along the way. The sophomore also 6-3 overall and 5-0 in MWC North play at #1 doubles. After two seasons at the College Vyshyvanyuk owns a 36-8 record in singles and doubles combined.

The other half of the Foresters' #1 doubles team is senior Chase Garber. In addition to his success partnering with Vyshyvanyuk atop the doubles lineup, Garber posted a 6-3 overall record while prevailing in each of his five MWC North matches at #2 singles. He finished his career 23-14 in singles and 32-12 in doubles.

Fellow senior Brant Christensen also received All-MWC North honors on Wednesday. He was also 6-3 overall and 5-0 in the league at #2 doubles and split a pair of singles matches on the year. Christensen's 55 career victories in singles and doubles combined are tied with Garber for the most among active Foresters.
