Freshman tennis player Oleksyi Vyshyvanyuk was named Forester Athlete of the Week on Thursday.
Vyshyvanyuk won in singles matches during the team's spring break opener against Millikin University on Monday. He went on to win a close doubles match with senior Chase Garber that same day. Both of his wins helped the Foresters win 6-3 over Millikin.
On Wednesday, the Foresters played LeTourneau University. Vyshyvanyuk racked up another singles win; he triumphed with a score of 6-3.
Vyshyvanyuk is now 9-1 on the season for singles and 10-3 for doubles.
Forester Athletes of the Week are selected by the Athletic Department on Thursdays.
