Junior Chase Garber's victory at #4 singles accounted for Lake Forest's only point in a 7-1 loss to Berry College Tuesday afternoon in Hilton Head, South Carolina.

Garber doubled up his opponent 6-3 in the first set and took the second 6-1. He is now 2-1 in singles play this season.

The Foresters nearly earned the point at the top spot in the doubles lineup, where senior Matt Kacyn and sophomore Brant Christensen were edged out 8-7 (7-2). The other two doubles matches were 8-3 decisions and each Lake Forest player won at least four games in singles play.

The loss dropped the Foresters' record on the season to 3-7 while the Vikings evened their mark at 1-1.

After a day off from competition, Lake Forest will take on Catholic University Thursday morning at 9:00 (ET) and Gordon College at 3:30 p.m. (ET).
