Foresters Blank Nazareth in South Carolina

The Lake Forest College men's tennis team had a successful day in Hilton Head, South Carolina, on Monday, defeating Nazareth College 9-0.

After a tough loss the day before, the men started Monday's contest with a doubles sweep. Both #1 and #3 won 8-0 and sophomore Aidan Burke and junior Chase Garber only dropped one game at #2.

Burke played at #1 singles for the first time in his collegiate career and won 6-1, 6-2. Senior captain Joe Bove clinched the match with a 6-2, 6-2 victory at #2 and Garber followed with a 6-4, 6-3 win at #3. Sophomore Brant Christensen dropped only one game in each set and a pair of freshmen ended the competition with two more Forester victories. Matthew Pawloski took both sets 6-2, 6-2 at #5 and Carson Chen's score at #6 was 6-0, 6-1.

The Foresters will play again Tuesday afternoon at 12:15 (EST) against Berry University at Hilton Head Island High School.
