Lake Forest Falls Twice in Kenosha

The Forester men's tennis team was defeated 9-0 by Carthage College and Illinois Institute of Technology at Life Sport Athletic Club in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

The closest contests in Lake Forest's match against Carthage came at the top of the order. Senior Matt Kacyn and sophomore Brant Christensen were edged out 8-5 at #1 doubles and Kacyn won three games in the first set and two in the second at #1 singles.

All three doubles matches were close against Illinois Tech, especially at #3, where Forester freshmen Carson Chen and Matthew Pawlowski were defeated in a tieabreak. Kacyn was once again the most successful player on the team in singles, falling 6-4, 6-2.

Lake Forest fell to 2-4 on the season while Carthage improved to 7-1 and Illinois Tech to 3-5.

The Foresters will host Calvin College next Saturday evening at 6:00 at the Racquet Club of Lake Bluff.
