Freshman Aidan Burke was one of four players to win twice during the Lake Forest College men's tennis team's 7-2 victory at Cornell College on Sunday.

Burke and junior Joe Bove doubled up their opponents 8-4 at #3 doubles, as did the Foresters' top tandem of sophomore Nick Zazove and Matt Kacyn and the #2 team of freshman Brett O'Brien and freshman Brant Christensen at their spots in the lineup.

Zazove earned the visitors' fourth point of the match with a 6-3, 6-0 triumph at #1 singles and, with the team score at 4-2 in favor of the Foresters, Christensen finished off a 6-1, 6-1 victory at #5 to clinch the match. The other two matches went to a third set with Kacyn prevailing 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 at #3 and Burke winning 6-4, 5-7, (10-6) at #6.

Lake Forest improved to 11-7 overall and 5-1 in Midwest Conference play this season. The Rams fell to 3-13 overall and 0-4 in the league.

The Foresters will travel to Wheaton College for a non-conference match Wednesday night at 6:30 before closing out the regular season at home against Lawrence University and St. Norbert College next Saturday.
