Junior Matt Kacyn did not drop a game in singles or doubles as the Lake Forest College men's tennis team blanked visiting Knox College 9-0 at the Racquet Club of Lake Bluff on Saturday.

Kacyn and sophomore Nick Zazove defeated the Prairie Fire's top tandem 8-0 to complete the home team's sweep of doubles matches. Freshmen Brett O'Brien and Brant Christensen had already finished off an 8-1 victory at #2 while junior Joe Bove and freshman Aidan Burke won 8-2 at #3.

O'Brien, Kacyn, and Burke blanked their opponents 6-0, 6-0 at #2, #3, and #6 singles, respectively. The Foresters' other three players lost just one game apiece, Zazove and Bove in the second set at #1 and #4, respectively, and Christensen in the first at #5.

Lake Forest improved to 8-6 overall and 2-0 in the Midwest Conference this spring while Knox fell to 0-8 overall and 0-1 in the league.

The Foresters will continue conference play with a pair of home matches on Sunday. Like Saturday night's tilt with Knox, both contests have been moved indoors due to the weather. Lake Forest will take on Monmouth College at the Racine Tennis Center at 9:00 in the morning and Illinois College at 4:30 p.m. at the Racquet Club of Lake Bluff.
