With sophomore Nick Zazove at the top of the singles lineup, the Forester men's tennis team blanked host Elmhurst College 9-0 Friday night.

Zazove and junior Matt Kacyn started the contest with an 8-3 victory at #2 doubles and Lake Forest junior Scott Drier and freshman Brett O'Brien followed with an 8-4 triumph at #1. Elmhurst had just five players so the Foresters' victory at #3 came by default.

With another point by default at #6 singles, a 6-1, 6-0 win at #5 by junior Joe Bove clinched the match for Lake Forest. Drier did not drop a game in a 6-0, 6-0 shutout at #4 and Zazove's 6-1, 6-3 victory at #1 was the next to finish. O'Brien took the first st 6-0 before his opponent at #3 was forced to retire and Kacyn closed out the match with a 6-3, 6-2 win at #3.

It was the season opener for both teams.

Lake Forest will be back in action Saturday night against visiting Wisconsin Lutheran College. The match will be played at the Racquet Club of Lake Bluff and will begin at 6:00 p.m.
