Trevor Allen named MWC Performer of the Week

Lake Forest College men's tennis player Trevor Allen was named Midwest Conference Performer of the Week on Tuesday for his performance in the team's three victories in conference play over the weekend.

Allen, a sophomore playing #2 singles and doubles, started the weekend by teaming up with senior Ellis Lora-Arceo for an 8-2 doubles win at Illinois College on Saturday. Allen was also victorious in singles play, prevailing 6-1, 6-0 in the Foresters' 9-0 triumph.

Lake Forest posted a 7-2 victory at Monmouth College and a 9-0 shutout at Knox College on Sunday. Allen and Lora-Arceo won 8-3 in the morning and 8-1 in the afternoon. Allen's most competitive singles match of the weekend was a 6-1, 6-2 triumph at Monmouth and he did not lose a game at Knox.

Allen is now 8-6 in singles and 7-5 in doubles this year.

MWC Performers of the Week are selected by the league's director of media and information. Allen, who also earned the award once as a freshman, is the third Forester to receive it this season.
