Senior Dragan Trivanovic earned the home team's only point as the Lake Forest College men's tennis team was defeated 8-1 Saturday night by visiting Wheaton College.

Trivanovic won a first set tiebreaker 7-5 at #5 singles before taking the second set 6-4. He improved to 10-5 in singles play this spring.

Wheaton started the match by sweeping the doubles competition. The Thunder also finished off victories at five of the six singles positions before Trivanovic ruined the shutout with his win at #5.

The loss dropped the Foresters below the .500 mark at 7-8 this season. Wheaton avoided that fate, improving to 6-5.

Lake Forest will begin Midwest Conference play on the road next weekend. After taking on Illinois College Saturday afternoon at 3:00, the Foresters will play Knox College Sunday at 9:00 a.m. match and at Monmouth College that afternoon at 1:00.
