Senior Dragan Trivanovic turned in one of the Foresters' three singles victories but the Lake Forest College men's tennis team was defeated 6-3 by Berry College on Monday.

Berry began the match be earning all three of the doubles points, edging out the Foresters 9-8 (7-5) at #1, 8-6 at #2, and 8-4 at #3.

The Vikings also won the first two points in singles play by taking matches at #6 and #4. Junior Dan Pivonka got the Foresters on the board when, leading 6-3, 3-0, his opponent at the top spot in the lineup was forced to retire due to injury. After falling 6-2 in the first set at #5, Trivanovic took the second 6-1 and the third set supertiebreaker 10-6. Berry's final point of the match came at #2 singles and Lake Forest freshman Nick Zazove closed out the contest with a grueling 5-7, 7-6 (7-1), (10-8) triumph at #3.

The loss dropped the Foresters' record on the season to 7-5 while Berry evened its mark at 2-2.

Lake Forest was also scheduled to play Bethel University Monday night but that match was cancelled due to rain. After taking Tuesday off, the Foresters will continue spring break play in Orlando, Florida, against the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse Wednesday morning at 10:30 (EST) before closing out the trip against Amherst College at 3:00 (EST) Wednesday afternoon.
