Lake Forest College men's tennis player Nick Zazove was named Forester Athlete of the Week on Thursday after helping lead his team to an 8-1 victory over Principia College and a 9-0 win over host Concordia University Chicago on Saturday.
Zazove, a freshman, won both of his matches with sophomore Joe Bove at #3 doubles, defeated their counterparts from Principia 8-3 and blanking those from Concordia Chicago 8-0.
With teammates above him in the Foresters' usual singles lineup missing, Zazove moved up a spot to #2 against Principia and took both sets 6-3. He then played at #1 against Concordia Chicago and prevailed 6-0, 6-0.
Zazove's overall singles record on the year now stands at 11-2 and he is 8-1 in dual matches this spring. He is also 5-5 overall in doubles and 5-3 in dual matches.
Forester Athletes of the Week are selected by the Athletic Department on Thursdays.
