Lake Forest College men's tennis player Nick Zazove was named Midwest Conference Performer of the Week on Tuesday for his performance in a pair of Forester victories on Saturday.

Zazove, a freshman, teamed with sophomore Joe Bove to defeat the #3 doubles teams from Principia College and host Concordia University Chicago. They took their first match 8-3 before blanking their counterparts from Concordia Chicago 8-0.

Zazove was also victorious in singles play during both matches. His 6-3, 6-3 triumph at #2 helped the Foresters defeat Principia 8-1 and he did not surrender a game at #1 in Lake Forest's 9-0 shutout of Concordia Chicago.

The 4-0 day improved Zazove's singles record to 8-1 and doubles mark to 5-5 in dual matches this spring.

MWC Performers of the Week are selected by the league's director of media and information. Zazove is the second Forester to earn the award, joining junior Dan Pivonka, last week's honoree.
