Freshman Joe Bove won twice as the Lake Forest College men's tennis team defeated Ripon College 9-0 at home on Sunday.

Bove and sophomore Nick Rehm defeated the Red Hawks' #2 doubles team 8-1 to start the match. Freshman Trevor Allen and junior Ellis Lora-Arceo won 8-2 at #1 doubles and Lake Forest received the team point at #3 doubles because Ripon only had four players.

Bove was the first to finish in singles, blanking his counterpart 6-0, 6-0 at #4. Senior John Snider prevailed 6-1, 6-0 at #2, as did junior Dragan Trivanovic at #3. Sophomore Dan Pivonka closed out the match with a 6-0, 6-0 triumph at #1.

It was Lake Forest's third Midwest Conference win in as many matches this weekend and the Foresters are now 12-7 overall and 5-1 in league play. Ripon fell to 1-15 overall and 0-6 in the MWC.

The Foresters will play their final non-conference match of the regular season on Wednesday at Wheaton College. The contest will begin at 4:00 p.m.
