Foresters Blank Concordia Wisconsin, Climb to .500 on the Season

Junior Ellis Lora-Arceo won twice to even his singles and doubles record on the season at 3-3 as the Lake Forest College men's tennis team prevailed 9-0 at Concordia University Wisconsin Friday night. The Foresters are also 3-3 as a team in 2016.

Lora-Arceo and sophomore Dan Pivonka finished off a Forester sweep of the doubles mathes with their 9-7 triumph at #1. Junior Dragan Trivanovic and senior Jordan Stoler started things off with an 8-5 victory at #3 and freshmen Trevor Allen and Karl Fehn defeated their counterparts at #2 by a score of 8-6.

The Lake Forest victories in singles play were much more convincing, beginning with Pivonka's 6-0, 6-0 win at the top spot in the lineup. Allen clinched the match for the Foresters with a 6-0, 6-1 rout of the Falcon's #2 singles player and Lora-Arceo won by the same score at #3. The set scores were reversed in Fehn's 6-1, 6-0 victory at #5. Sophomore Nick Rehm came out on top of a 6-1, 6-3 decision at #6 and Trivanovic closed out the contest be prevailing 7-6 (7-4), 6-1 at #4.

Concordia Wisconsin fell to 4-2 on the year.

The Foresters' next four matches will be played during the team's Spring Break trip to Orlando, Florida. Oglethorpe University will be Lake Forest's first foe on the trip and the teams will battle at 10:00 a.m. (EST) on Monday, March 7.
