The Forester men's tennis team was defeated 9-0 by visiting Kalamazoo College, the 10th-ranked team in the Central Region, Saturday night. It was Lake Forest's first dual match of the season.

Kalamazoo began its spring with a victory at Wheaton College earlier in the day.

The closest double match was at #2 where Forester freshmen Trevor Allen and Karl Fehn were defeated 8-4.

The Hornets' top singles player is ranked fifth in the region but was tested early by Lake Forest sophomore Dan Pivonka, who fell 7-5 in the first set and 6-2 in the second.

The match was played at the Racquet Club of Lake Bluff, which will also be the site for the Foresters matches against Wabash College at 3:00 p.m. and the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh at 9:00 p.m. next Saturday.
