The Forester men's tennis team prevailed 5-4 at Carroll University on Wednesday. Freshman Nick Rehm earned a pair of points for Lake Forest, including the one that clinched the match.

The Pioneers had already finished off victories at #1 and #2 doubles when Rehm and sophomore Ellis Lora-Arceo began the Forester comeback with a 9-7 triumph at #3.

Lake Forest junior John Snider was the first to finish in singles and his convincing 6-1, 6-0 win at #3 evened the team score at two points apiece. Sophomore Dragan Trivanovic came out on top of both sets 6-3 at #6 to give the Foresters the lead and junior Mike Riley's 6-4, 6-3 victory at #4 made the score 4-2 in favor of the visitors. Rehm then finished off a match-clinching 6-2, 6-4 win at #5 before Carroll closed out the contest with victories at the top two spots in the lineup.

The Foresters are now 8-9 overall this season and 2-1 in Midwest Conference play. Carroll fell to 6-9 overall and 1-2 in the league.

The next event on Lake Forest's schedule is a home match against Carthage College, the 16th-ranked team in the region, at 6:00 Friday night. The contest will be played at the Racquet Club of Lake Bluff and will be the Foresters' final home event of the season.
