Lake Forest Takes on Tough Competition at Warhawk Invitational

The Forester men's tennis team was defeated 9-0 by the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh on Friday and fell 8-1 to Wheaton College and 9-0 to host University of Wisconsin-Whitewater at the Warhawk Invitational. Lake Forest sophomore Jordan Stoler posted a victory in singles against Wheaton.

Playing at #6 singles, Stoler won the first set 6-4 but fell 6-1 in the second. He then edged out his opponent 10-7 in the super-tiebreaker to take the match.

The losses dropped the Foresters' record on the season to 2-5. Whitewater, ranked fifth in the region and 24th in the nation in the October 31 preseason rankings, won all three of its matches to raise its record to 6-4. Wheaton, which was listed 17th in the region in October, defeated Oshkosh to raise its record to 4-1. Oshkosh is now 3-3.

Lake Forest will host North Central College at the Racquet Club of Lake Bluff at 8:30 Friday night.
