Foresters Fall to Lawrence Late Friday Night

The Lake Forest College men's tennis team was defeated 8-1 by visiting Lawrence University at the Raquet Club of Lake Bluff Friday night. Forester senior John Adams accounted for his team's only point by posting a victory at #1 singles in the final home match of his career.

Adams did not lose a game in the first set and won the second 6-2. Lawrence won each of the other five singles matches and all three doubles contests.

Adams and classmates Kevin Lasky and Eric Caplan were honored after the match. They have combined for a 228-139 record in their careers and have collectively spent time at each spot in the lineup.

The Foresters will play their final dual match of the year next Wednesday at Carthage College. The contest will begin at 5:30 p.m. Lake Forest will then close out the season at next weekend's Midwest Conference Championships in Madison, Wisconsin. Flighted singles tournaments will be played on Saturday and the doubles competition is on Sunday.
