The Forester men's tennis team was edged out 5-4 at St. Norbert College in a back-and-forth match Saturday evening. The loss drops Lake Forest to 7-7 overall and 1-1 in Midwest Conference South Division play this season.

St. Norbert led 2-1 after doubles play with the only Forester victory coming at #2, where sophomore Anthony Mykhaylovskyy and junior Jerry Wang won 8-5.

A Green Knight win at #6 singles gave the home team a 3-1 advantage but Lake Forest came back and took the lead by winning the next three matches. Senior John Adams started the run with a 6-2, 6-1 victory at #1 singles, where he is now 6-0 against conference members this season. Fellow senior Kevin Lasky followed with a 6-3, 6-4 triumph at #3 and freshman John Snider prevailed 6-4 in both sets at #5.

Unfortunately for the Foresters, their 4-3 lead disappeared with three-set losses at #2 and #4.

St. Norbert is now 4-9 overall and 1-0 in MWC North play this season.

Lake Forest is scheduled to play a non-conference match at Dominican University Sunday morning at 9:00.
