The Lake Forest College men's tennis team was defeated 9-0 at the University of Chicago on Saturday. Chicago entered the spring as the seventh-ranked team in the Central Region.
The Foresters fell to 0-3 on the young season while the Maroons raised their record to 2-1.
Lake Forest will play three teams from the Midwest Conference next weekend. The Foresters will play at defending league champion Grinnell College Saturday morning at 9:00 before taking on Knox College at Grinnell at 3:00 p.m. Lake Forest will also play at Cornell College Sunday morning at 10:00 before making the long drive home from Iowa. The Foresters are playing in the MWC's North Division this season so the matches will not count in the conference standings.
