Matt Suggitt

The 2018 season will be the second on the Forester coaching staff for Matt Suggitt, who also served as an assistant for the team in 2015. Suggitt helps lead the staff's recruiting efforts.

Lake Forest posted a 13-7-1 overall record and 7-3-0 mark in Midwest Conference play in 2015. The Foresters advanced to and won the four-team MWC Tournament to earn the program's first bid to the NCAA Division III Tournament in 35 years. Four members of the team earned All-MWC honors, including the league's player of the year.

Suggitt has coached soccer at numerous different levels and in several countries since 2009. He was an academy coach in Mexico City, an assistant for a men's team in England, a summer camp director in Spain, and a high school coach in England before moving to the United States in 2011. He spent much of the next five years as a coach, recruiter, and director of coaching for multiple organizations, including the Foresters, before returning to England in 2016 to serve as a director of operations for Coerver Coaching London.

A successful player himself, Suggitt competed at several levels in England and eventually competed for the England Colleges Football Squad and for five years with the semi-pro Tadcaster Albion Forst Team Squad.
